The Revd Richard Malone, first vicar of St Matthew's Westminster


The Revd Richard Malone graduated from Queen’s College, Cambridge with his MA in 1849. Before coming to St Matthew’s, he had held curacies in Bexhill, Sussex (1846-47), St Michael, Pimlico, (1849) and the perpetual curacy of Christ Church, Plymouth, (1849-50).

When Richard Malone left St Matthew’s, he became vicar of St Paul, Cornwall (1866-76) and Potton, Bedfordshire (1876-87). In 1892, he was living in Penzance and was a licensed preacher in the diocese of Truro. [2]
